Sal’s Tile Design Consultations Amps up Your Style to Let the Chic Shine Through
Unless you are familiar with how an interior decorator works, it may seem unusual to hand off your home’s design to a stranger, a design consultation will set you at ease. Sal’s Tile’s design professional want to work with your style throughout the design project. Our designers are trained to work with your style, and not to impose their own.
Getting to your style during a design consultation
Don’t worry, the interview questions we ask are meant to start the conversation. They are easy and most clients find them fun.
To start, we recommend that you develop a design folder. This is the place where you bring together bits and pieces of information as a whole to represent your aesthetic. You might have the following in the folder:
Tear-outs from magazines
Downloaded photos from the Internet
Snips of fabrics or yarns for color and texture
Paint sample cards
Whatever you find that can fit in the folder, the better it will be. If you have a throw pillow or duvet that is a source of inspiration, bring it along to the design consultation as well.
What to expect from a design consultation
Let your consultant know what project you are considering. The benefit of using one of our consultants is that they will work with you and the overall plan, not just for flooring or a countertop. Our designers are professionals and have the skills to help you make your entire home better, if you want.
Say you are interested in having a new floor in your kitchen, here is some specific information we will ask you:
What floor is in there now and why do you want to change it?
Who does the cooking and how much is done in the kitchen?
What materials interest you? Turn you off?
What level of care are you willing to provide?
Are there any spaces contiguous with the kitchen?
You can come to our showroom in Corpus Christi or we can come to your house in our service area of Portland, Port Aransas, Rockport, Ingleside and Robstown. Either way, a design consultation with a Sal’s Tile professional provides you with the support to confidently go forward with your improvement project.
